Yoga. It begins with the asana, (pose) but will move you lightyears beyond the physical. The asana is a tool to quiet the insistent mind.
With the mind quiet, we are able to slip into a small window of space
between thought. There, we can feel the expansive, endless potential
we hold inside, and experience an acceptance of ourselves wherever we
are at the moment. This experience softens fear and cultivates trust---trust
of oneself and ones abilities, and trust in the wisdom of the
universe. As we continue to push ourselves in the asanas, we unleash
a tremendous energy that can affect and transform every facet of our
lives. |

Negative thought patterns and coping mechanisms are formed in our childhood and become habit as we age. These issues show up as fear and/or anger and manifest randomly. They also show up as tension or holding patterns in the body. As the practice of yoga starts to release these holding patterns, issues that are holding us back in life come to the forefront where they can be looked at, and dealt with. The moments spent with the still, quiet, inner teacher gives one the courage to address these issues. The result is freedom from Samskara (limiting habits); freedom to listen to our hearts, hear our truths, and work towards realizing them.
